This year's Met Gala saw a flurry of fanciful frocks and extravagant entrances. With the theme set as camp, the aim was to indulge in all things opulent.
The Met Gala has been chaired by Vogue Magazine's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour since 1995, the Costume Institue Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the most highly anticipated fashion events globally.
This year's theme was selected by Andrew Bolton, curator of the costume institute, he based the theme around Susan Sontag's seminal 1964 essay Notes on "Camp". With such a vivid and wide brief the glittering assembly of celebrities and VIPs who attended delivered magnificent and awe-inspiring looks.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

The Jonas' dominated the Met Gala carpet dripping in Dior, Priyanka ever adventurous was seen in a thigh-high slit feathered creation. Her oversized crown was pillowed by her wild locks, she embodied all the theatrics of this year's theme perfectly. While husband, Nick Jonas was dashing and poised in his Dior suit.

Lady Gaga has been known for her avant-garde theatrical looks and with this year's theme being camp she did not disappoint. She started off in a very detailed hot pink gown, designed by Brandon Maxwell and slowly disrobed across the Met Gala carpet. Gaga totalled an awe-inspiring four outfit changes while simply walking the carpet of the Met Gala.

Deepika channelled all things 'Barbie girl' in this stunning Zac Posen creation. This was Deepika's first Met Gala appearance since marrying her long-time love, Ranveer Singh, in November 2018. Posen was inspired by aquatics and underwater elements with this gown, as highlighted by the urchin inspired embellishments.

The whole world watched with bated breath as Zendaya walked the Met Gala carpet in this stunning Tommy Hilfiger creation, complete with her own Fairy Godmother. A true 'Cinderella moment' we adored the theatrics of this creation, from the smoke of the wand to the neon details of the gown!

Isha Ambani gave us Carrie Bradshaw feelings in this lilac Prabal Gurung feather gown. Everything from the lengthy train to the plunging neckline oozed opulence.

Kim Kardashian West made jaws drop around the globe with this Mugler creation. Kim appeared to be glistening, Mugler was inspired by the 'California girl' aesthetic of being fresh off the beach and drenched in water. This effect was created with the teardrop-shaped embellishments.

Cardi B won the contest for the longest train at this year's Met Gala. The rapper's gown was so extravagant and weighty it required a team of ten to help her walk the carpet. We loved how Cardi channelled confidence and drama in this sumptuous red Thom Browne gown.

We adored this beauty look as seen on actress Lily Collins, so much so it deserved its own special mention. The dramatic wing, lashes and shadow are balanced perfectly by her nude lips and blushed cheeks. We especially loved the floral fixtures in her large hairstyle - brides take note for your Big Day!
