Monsoon can predict rain on your Big Day

As a bride-to-be, the threat of rain on your Big Day can be enough to give you sleepless nights. All those months of  planning and organisation - not to mention photography - that could be washed away by the unpredictable weather!

With most wedding dates set at least a year in advance, predicting how the skies will behave is a guessing game at best. Until now... 

Using 86 years’ of Met Office rainfall data, high street retailer Monsoon have analysed every day throughout the year to establish exactly which days have historically been the driest and which the wettest.

The “Wedding Day Weather Calculator” is created to help predict % chance of rain on any date, in a specific region of the UK. Here are some of its findings: 

• April is the driest month of the year in the UK and the best month for a dry wedding
• 15th April is the driest day on average for the UK
• November is the wettest month of the year, with the 11th officially the wettest
• August is the wettest month during spring and summer

To use the calculator, simply select your potential wedding date and the which part of the country you're thinking of holding the celebrations. The calculator will then share the percentage chance of rain, as well as further information on the driest day that specific month.
