Summer is finally here! This means sunshine (hey, we’re optimists), a diary full of parties and the latest issue of Khush Wedding to help you through it all.
This issue we have more cause than most to celebrate because not only is it our 4th anniversary, but we have the effortlessly cool Sonam Kapoor gracing the cover.
So to celebrate we threw an exclusive unveiling on Saturday 29th April at the award-winning Darbaar to an audience of celebrity influencers, bloggers, media personalities, designers and models Hira Shah and Sundal Roy amongst others.
Guests enjoyed luxury canapés from Darbaar’s executive chefs as well as a menu of cocktails and alcohol-free drinks, all created specially for the event.
The cover is the very first time the megastar has graced a national UK cover and is our interpretation of Sonam as a summer bride as she plays muse to the latest collections from Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Anamika Khanna and Payal Singhal. Leading brands such as Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Charlotte Olympia, Amrapali, Sarah Ho London and Sophie Hulme provided shoes, jewels and accessories.
Sonam stars on the cover wearing a couture hand painted floral lehenga from Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s Udaipur Collection, available at Aashni + Co, and accessorised with bridal ornaments from Red Dot Jewels.
With the shoot theme set as “an Indian rose transported into a quintessential English garden”, beauty veteran and renowned artist, Gini Bhogal created the hair and makeup look. Flowers for the shoot came from the fragrant studio of Royal luxury florist Larry Walshe.
