The list of the most extravagant celebrity weddings from the last decade has been compiled by online bridal accessories retailer, Lace & Favour.
From Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ grand splendour in Jodhpur, to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s dreamy wedding in Lake Como, here are the top 10 celebrity weddings from 2009-2019.
10) George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin

Venue: In 2014, Barrister, Amal Alamuddin, married Hollywood heartthrob, George Clooney. The nuptials were exchanged in the seven-star Aman Canal Grande Hotel. Elegant floral arches and an abundance of white roses provided a romantic and luxurious setting.
Dress: Amal wore an off-the-shoulder Oscar de la Renta lace dress, handcrafted with pearls and dusted with crystal. The look was complemented by a matching cathedral-length veil.
Wow factor: It’s rumoured their wedding featured 600 bottles of tequila! But if that’s not your drink of choice, being flown out to Venice, and staying in a luxury hotel, courtesy of the bride and groom, should be enough to put a smile on your face...

9) Nicky Hilton and James Rothschild

Venue: In 2015, American businesswoman, Nicky Hilton, and banking heir, James Rothschild, married in a truly regal ceremony at Kensington Palace Orangery.
Dress: Nicky wore a stunning, lacey, long-sleeved, high-necked Valentino couture gown complete with a 3-metre train worth £50,000.
Wow factor: Nicky wore custom Louboutins with the date of her wedding and “Nicky Rothschild” embroidered on them for the finishing touches...

8) Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

Venue: The high-flying couple married this year in France in the beautiful Chateau du Martinet which is located in Carpentras. The intimate ceremony had flowers and candles lining the aisles of the enchanting chateau.
Dress: Sophie wore a stunning Nicholas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton gown, featuring a stunning mixture of silk and lace, a full skirt, long-sleeves and a plunging neckline.
Wow factor: The couple took their official nuptials in Las Vegas with an Elvis impersonator as the officiant, and Ring Pops sweets for wedding bands – a legally practical decision nevertheless!

7) Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

Venue: In 2011, the couple tied the knot on a private estate in Montecito, California, with a star-studded guest list of over 400 attendees.
Dress: Known for being fashion conscious, Kim wowed her guests in not one, but three custom Vera Wang gowns. She chose an ivory ball gown for the main ceremony, wearing a beaded hairband as an accessory.
Wow-factor: The couple spent $20,000 on a chocolate-chip, black and white wedding cake, which was around 6ft tall.

6) John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

Venue: You can’t find a more romantic wedding destination than Lake Como at Villa Pizzo in Italy, which is where the star-studded couple married in 2013.
Dress: For the ceremony, Chrissy wore an ivory strapless, V-neck ball gown, complete with tulle skirt.
Wow Factor: Guests received a special welcome gift on their arrival. They were greeted with a box that included Prosecco in linen bags that were printed with the Italian toast ‘cin cin’ meaning ‘cheers’. For their weddings cake, they opted for a naked carrot cake adorned with eucalyptus leaves and fresh flowers.

5) Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

Venue: The couple wed only last year, with the wedding celebrations taking place in India at the incredible Umaid Bhawan Palace, a grand palace in Jodhpur.
Dress: For the Mehndi ceremony, Priyanka wore a colourful organza sherwani by Khosla Jani. For the Christian Ceremony, Priyanka opted for a long-sleeve gown, adorned with 2 million mother of pearl sequins, and a 22-metre veil, paired with Jimmy Choo shoes. The bride opted for sabyasachi for her Hindu Ceremony, in traditional red with a pair of custom Christian Louboutin shoes.
Wow factor: The gown was not only incredibly beautiful, but sentimental. Eight different phrases were stitched on to the dress, including Nick’s full name, their wedding date, and her parent’s names.

4) Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Venue: All eyes were on this wedding! The royal wedding was held in 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The ceremony was followed by a traditional horse and carriage ride through Windsor.
Dress: Meghan’s dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller. The silk gown was timeless, clean-cut, and minimalist with a boat neckline and A-line skirt. Meghan wore a stunning tiara which once belonged to Queen Mary.
Wow-Factor: Prince Harry gave Meghan an engagement ring with a large diamond from Botswana in the centre, and two smaller diamonds that belonged to his late mother, Diana Princess of Wales.

3) Prince William and Kate Middleton

Venue: The royal couple's wedding took place in Westminster Abbey in 2011, followed by a traditional carriage ride. After the formalities, the pair chose their own getaway car and drove away in a vintage car and heart-shaped balloons trailing from the back!
Dress: The now, Duchess of Cambridge, wore a delicate, lacey Alexander McQueen creation made in collaboration with the designer Sarah Burton. A lace bodice and long sleeves of embroidered flowers lent itself to a full skirt with a delicate veil held in place by the Cartier tiara.
Wow-factor: At the royal wedding reception at Buckingham palace, pop star, Ellie Goulding performed in front of the newly-weds and their guests.

2) Billie Faiers and Greg Shepherd

Venue: In 2019, the couple tied the knot on the island of Kuramathi in the Maldives. After the ceremony, lavish parties were held on the island, surrounded by tropical theme décor.
Dress: Bille wore a mesh panel, fish-tail wedding dress designed by Berta, which was covered in beautiful floral embroidery.
Wow-factor: No expenses were spared at this top-notch wedding! Paying for all 95 guests to stay on the luxury island would have cost around £229,000.
1) Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Venue: In 2014, the celebrity couple married in a 16th-century fortress in Florence. Kim Kardashian had a dreamy flower wall installed, under which they intimately exchanged their vows.
Dress: Kim wore custom Givenchy haute couture, designed by Riccardo Tisci. The dress was floor length with a high neckline and long sleeves, fitted in traditional white lace with an open back and sheer panels at the waist. The beautiful gown was accompanied by an intricate, cathedral-length veil and was thought, in total, to cost around half a million U.S. dollars.
Wow-factor: The star-studded couple picked an exciting selection of wedding entertainment including; John Legend, Lana Del Ray, and Big Sean.
