Khevna Sejpal married Kaersi Jilla in Goa on 14th December 2015.
She says: “We’ve always wanted a destination wedding and chose Goa as it was the easiest place for guests to travel to. Not to mention, southern Goan beaches are beautiful.

The Venue
A month after our engagement, we looked at potential venues and fell for Park Hyatt’s rustic charm. Being there felt like being on a tropical holiday! The idea was for the majority of guests to make a holiday out of our wedding, having travelled so far. We held all our pre-wedding events at the luxury resort as it had lots of venues, so each event felt unique.”

The Wedding Outfits
“Sunil & Falguni London designed our outfits for all the events. We had a vague idea of what we wanted, but were clueless when it came to style. They created looks better we could have imagined. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!”

The Décor
“We had three events before the Big Day; a Welcome dinner, The Mehndi party and a Sangeet. I love pink so my wedding colours were shades of pink with touches of ivory and gold. Sunil & Falguni London designed personlised motifs, which we used everywhere.”

The Reception
“We decided on a peacock theme for our reception because we love the colours. It was held in the resort’s Magical Forest, so we created a mystical forest theme. A tunnel lined with hanging plants, vines and flowers led down a path to the party. We hired fire drummers, and also flew over a hugely popular band in the Middle East, The Boxtones, to entertain our guests.”
“It was very important to both of us that our guests had the best time, so we spared no expense when it came to entertainment. We hired a moving/living water fountain, peacock dressed walking tables serving drinks, flare bartenders and a champagne- serving chandelier with dancers hanging from the top.”

“We had two first dances! The first was Stupid Love by Jason Derulo before Firestone by Kygo. It worked very well as the first was slower, and the second was more uptempo so we could switch up dancing styles! While we chose not to have a cake on the actual wedding day, we decided on a peacock-themed one for the reception.”
