Luck of the Irish

Neha married Neil Stapleton at the Hillbark Hotel in Wirral on 19th September 2015.

She says: “I was living overseas when Neil popped the question so I was really lucky that my parents stepped up and took charge of the whole planning process. They did most of the running around - looking at venues and visiting suppliers - and came to us when they had a shortlist so we could make the final decision.

The venue was stunning. Hillbark Hotel is a very grand listed building with loads of character. As soon as Neil and I saw it, it was love at first sight.
We both agreed that we wanted our Big Day to be relaxed and informal - just an amazing party! The venue were incredible in helping us achieve this by managing the coordination of our vendors and ensuring the day ran like clockwork.”


The Reception

“I included personal touches such as Order of Service cards, menus, seating plans and top table name cards, which I found on Etsy. I made the pouches for confetti myself, along with miniature jam jar favours which I filled with jelly beans. Hillbark organised an afternoon tea as well as a selection of cocktails to welcome our reception guests.”

Décor
I chose an elegant, classic theme so this meant plenty of fresh flowers, and a cream and green palette gently lit by tealights.

As soon as I looked through Bhavna Barratt’s portfolio I knew she’d be the one for us. Her relaxed style captured the special moments of our day beautifully.

The Wedding Cake
Made by Liverpool Cake Fairy, each of Neha and Neil’s five-tiered cake was a different flavour.
