We may have seen two massive weddings take place in quick succession in India recently (congrats again to newlyweds #DeepVeer and #NickYanka), but there’s one more that is making headlines before 2018 is out.
The children of two Indian billionaires, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, will tie the knot on Wednesday 12th December. Isha is the daughter of business mogul Mukesh Ambani, the wealthiest man in Asia and 19th in the world.

The father of the groom is Ajay Piramal, who has interests in a range of industries, including real estate, packaging and pharmaceuticals.

The pre-wedding events kicked off last weekend, and the world’s focus was most interested in a special guest booked to get the Sangeet party started – Beyoncé.
Queen Bey was flown in on one of 100 private chartered planes organised by the Ambani family to bring guests from across the world to the wedding. Former US Presidential candidate Hilary Clinton is also on the VIP guest list as well as the biggest names in business and Bollywood including Ranbir Kapoor, Amir Khan and Kiran Rao, Karisma Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Salman Khan, Karan Johar and others.

The Ambanis are prominent in Indian society and were at the recent wedding reception of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Isha has already had a little wedding practice as Priyanka Chopra’s bridesmaid when she married Nick Jonas in Jodhpur.
The Ambani Piramal sangeet event was held at Udaipur's Oberoi Udaivilas Hotel, with performances from Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri as well as Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the engaged couple.

For her private concert, Beyoncé wore a mirrored red and gold Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla ensemble, complete with traditional jewellery. It’s not yet known how much the star received for her private performance, but for two families where unimaginable wealth is the norm, we’re sure her fee will be a drop in the ocean compared to the rest of the wedding celebrations.
GQ India has speculated the pop legend could charge anything up to $2m for a private performance.
Most of the news and images have come from social media, a trend many high-profile couples including Sonam and Anand, Deepika and Ranveer and Priyanka and Nick have all subscribed to as a way to keep their huge fanbases informed about every moment of the celebrations. At the time of writing, #AmbaniWedding had an incredible 19,137 posts - and the actual wedding is yet to take place!
The wedding ceremony will be held at the Ambani family home in south Mumbai called Antilia, an extravagant 27-storey building, complete with a staff of 600, helipads and multi-level gardens.
