India's version of Posh ’n’ Becks have just tied the knot in Italy. Bollywood star Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli wed on 11th December 2017, ending days of suspense and speculation about the couple's wedding plans.The two stars of screen and field respectively were married in a private ceremony attended by close family members and friends at a luxury resort in Tuscany. The pair, both 29, first met on the set of a commercial.

The couple had an elaborate sangeet, engagement, mehndi and haldi before the ceremony, followed by a DJ party reception where Anushka wore traditional ‘chooda’ with a peach gown.
Anushka wore a pale pink and gold Sabyasachi lehenga for her wedding vows, with Virat in matching pale pink and metallic sherwani, creating a look that nearly broke Instagram.A source close to the couple revealed ring details: “He’s picked a very rare diamond ring for Anushka that has been specially crafted by an ace designer from Austria. The design is unimaginably beautiful and reflects surprising elements, every time you see it from different angles. It costs about Rs 1 crore [approx. £116,450] but it’s totally worth the money because whoever will see it, definitely wouldn’t be able to take their eyes off it.”
The celebrations show no sign of ending, as a statement issued by the newlyweds reveal they will host a reception in New Delhi for relatives on 21st December 2017, followed by a reception for industry friends and cricketers in Mumbai on 26th December 2017.
