Kate Middleton and Prince William’s royal wedding in 2011 was all things grand, flamboyant and dreamy. From the Duchess of Cambridge’s ethereal Alexander McQueen white wedding dress, to their exchange of vows at Westminster Abbey and a larger-than-life wedding cake, it marked the beginning of a truly special union. After being in an 8-year-long relationship since they studied in the University of St Andrews, William proposed to Middleton in Kenya. In November 2010, the couple announced their engagement to huge fanfare. Today, on April 29, 2021, the royal couple celebrate their 10th anniversary. Pictures, royal engagements and public appearances from the last decade prove their romance is still very much alive. The couple also share three beautiful children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

To celebrate their landmark anniversary, the official Kensington Palace Instagram account released two new royal portraits taken at their humble adobe, Kensington Palace. Gleaming with joy, the Duchess of Cambridge’s perfect blow-out, pale blue wrap dress and her engagement ring featuring a 12-carat oval blue sapphire and diamond, which belonged to late Princess Diana, has left us all with a smile on our face. Prince William’s watch also holds special significance. The prince’s Omega Seamaster Quartz, believed to be a gift from his late mother, and was the timepiece he wore to his 2011 wedding. The caption read, “Nine years ago today – thank you for all your lovely messages on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding anniversary!”
Over the years, the duo has set major couple goals. Be it their yearly family Christmas cards, the quality time they spend with their little ones or just adorable moments shared between these two at events.
