Most people find their other halves in the workplace, but sometimes that can skip a generation, as it did with Arti and Nickeal Patel.
They first encountered each other more than 15 years ago when their parents worked in the same business and although they lost touch and became busy with life, work and friends, a mutual connection’s party brought them back into each other’s lives once again. Love blossomed and this June the pair tied the knot in leafy Buckinghamshire, in the beautifully elegant spaces of Newland Manor surrounded by all their loved friends and family. Here Arti tells us all about her magical day...

The Big Day
For the morning Hindu ceremony we went for a Grand Maharaja Maharani theme, with décor mimicking the outdoors complete with green grass flooring, maple trees and a stunning water walkway. Nickeal made his entrance on a white horse, with his family following in a Rolls Royce and a dancing procession. ­­­I was led in by my own relatives dancing alongside me before being carried the rest of the way in a traditional Dholi.

The Photos
We chose the picture perfect Newland Manor in Buckinghamshire as our venue because it ticked all the boxes for what we needed, such as parking for 800+. Everyone has different priorities for their wedding, and for us, it was photography. We cherish photos and believe capturing those landmark life moments are invaluable. I knew that all those fine details, which are so sharp and clear now, will fade as we age so I wanted the very best photography and videos to remember the day forever. After meeting Milad Hussain, I knew X-quisite Photo &?Video Stories was the one for us.

The Mehndi
Our Bollywood-themed Mehndi night was an incredibly fun-filled evening full of Antakshri music, Garba dancing and of course, mehndi! We stuffed our guests with authentic Indian street food and decorated the space with 6ft framed Bollywood posters. Everyone loved it!
