Shazmin Altaf Gaffar wed Azim Mansur Mahomed on 4th April 2017 in a registry ceremony, followed by a reception four days later. She says: “I was ecstatic when Azim proposed at Cini’s, an Italian restaurant where we first met. After picking a date that worked for everyone, we looked at available venues that could accommodate our guestlist. We finally found our dream venues, then researched other vendors. We had so much support from our families and close friends – they were invaluable.”
The Registry
“I arrived at our venue, Colwick Hall & Hotel, in a carriage pulled by white horses, a true a fairytale arrival! My bridesmaids were dressed in floor-length pink chiffon gowns and carried matching bouquets, while the groomsmen wore tails with pink cravats and buttonholes. It felt so surreal to be announced husband and wife. It felt miraculous to finally arrive at a day that we planned for so long.”
The Reception
“We wanted unique decor so we hung drapes and dressed the stage and ceiling with flowers. We went big on personalisation; the favours, cake knife and champagne glasses - even our cake was hand painted with our initials. It was amazing seeing all our planning pay off on this incredible evening.”

“Not only was the quality of Eye Jogia’s work outstanding, but their attention to detail is truly exceptional. I can’t thank the team enough for their time and effort before, during and after my wedding to ensure we had perfect images. They offer such a personal service - which isn’t something other companies can claim with confidence.”
