Shreena Ravaliya married Rajiv Bathia in May 2015. She says: “After 7 years together, Rajiv’s friends tricked me into taking him to Iceland as a birthday surprise. They were supposed to come too, but ‘missed their flight’. It was only when Rajiv proposed on our first night that I realised the entire scheme was a double bluff - he’d known the plan all along! I was so shocked I tried to run away from him! We used recommendations as well as our own research to plan the wedding. Visiting shows and wedding events helped with the finer details. The plan was to have an old-world traditional wedding at the Oshwal Centre followed by a contemporary reception. We did most of the reception planning because we wanted to personalise the experience for our guests.”
Shooting In Iceland

The Reception
“We didn’t have a theme, but as the planning progressed, we formed a ‘movies’ theme. With bowls of gourmet popcorn, bespoke movie tickets as place settings and a Kill Bill samurai sword it all came together nicely.”
