Zubin Mehta, son of Blossom and Nitin Mehta (owner of MECORDS India) and Aashna Varma daughter of Arun and Mini Varma tied the knot at Jodhpur's former royal palace Umaid Bhawan in a grand three-day wedding. The stunning palace was once home to the city's royal family and boasts incredible interiors as well as 26-acres of pretty gardens.

Jodhpur, known as The Blue City, welcomed the crème de la crème of Mumbai high society, as well as guests from across the globe, including Kamlesh and Kaushika Hemdev, Maheka Mirpuri, Aly and Yasmin Morani, Kailash and Aarti Surendranath amongst many others.

Following the luxe three-day wedding, another reception was held in Mumbai at Jade Gardens, Worli for over a thousand people. Guests included Mohomed and Lucky Morani , Vindu Dara Singh, Poonam Dhillon, Captain Vinod Nair & Tulip Joshi amongst many others were spotted at this grand soiree.

Their Story
Zubin and Aashna met a few times in Mumbai and Delhi before he formally proposed at Maldives Taj Exotica. This was followed by a breathtaking Roka for a select few close family members and friends at Taj Land's End, followed by an extravagant celebration to mark the beginning of the #A2Z celebrations.

The Wedding Day
Jueta and Pratik Hemdev and her team at Yolo Entertainment worked on the grand affair; from the Roka ceremony to the wedding in Jodhpur to the reception in Mumbai.
The team managed and transformed iconic venues such as Taj Land's End, The Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mehrangarh Fort and Jade Garden to create a fairytale wedding fit for royals.

The Highlights

Chartered jets given a makeover to tie-in with the wedding theme.
Guest accommodation in some of Jodhpur's fines properties, including Umaid Bhawan Palace, Ajit Bhawan, Hari Mahal by Taj, Raas Hotels, Radisson Green and the Mariott.

There were handpicked gifts for guests, and arrivals to the ceremony in open-air vintage cars. No detail was overlooked to ensure guests had the best experience.
Conceptualising and organising various events such as the fabulous Masquerade Ball, a luxurious poolside brunch, a sangeet and a breathtaking wedding with the palace backdrop.

The Baraat was truly on a Maharaja's scale; think vintage cars, a horse chariot, horses, elephants, and camels.
Entertainment included Paris House Addict, Djembe drummers, the musical rockstar Guru Randhawa, Dj Aman Nagpal & his band Suryaveer Hooja and DJ AJ all lit up various functions with their outstanding performances.

The wedding wardrobe included couture from India's elite designers; Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Shantanu and Nikhil and Tarun Tahiliani.

Phew, talk about an extravagant event! What's your idea of a royal wedding?
