If you're thinking about a few treatments ahead of the Big Day, but don't know where to start, Dr Sabba is here to explain popular aesthetic treatments.

Tell us about yourself
I trained as a GP before doing a practical dermatology diploma. There’s a scientific, artistic and technical side to non-invasive treatments that fascinates me. It’s amazing what can be achieved with injections and dermal fillers in the right hands.

Have you had any procedures done?
A few years ago I noticed hollowing under my eyes which made me look tired even when I wasn’t. It often develops in your late twenties. I had my tear trough treated with dermal filler and loved the results as I instantly appeared more refreshed and felt more confident.

From where do you operate?
From Baddow, a private hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. I also treat in London at Gini Bhogal’s salon, Beauty Around the Corner.

Should a bride ever get aesthetic treatments?
If a bride feels self-conscious about something to the extent where it might impact on the wedding day, she may wish to consider a consultation to discuss treatment options.

How much does it cost?
The cost for Botox® is per area (such as forehead or eyes) with the cost starting from £190. The price of dermal filler varies depending on the amount used but they begin at £200. If someone is charging less, I’d think twice about going ahead as they could be cutting on quality.

When will I see results?
It takes up to two weeks to see the results from Botox® treatment. The procedure is quick and there’s not usually any recovery time. Dermal filler patients see results instantly. Sessions can range from 20 minutes to 2 hours, depending on what is being treated and how much filler is used.

When should I book?
Botox® lasts 3-4 months and if you’ve never had it, have a full treatment cycle prior to the wedding. Six months prior would allow enough time. For filler I’d advise booking two to three months before the day especially if you want multiple areas treated in stages.

If you weren’t a doctor, you’d be... ?
This is tricky! I love meeting new people, all things related to beauty and working with my hands so maybe a make-up artist as they also get to transform people into more beautiful versions of themselves!

Dr Sabba's most popular treatments

Botox® injections

I offer a full range of treatments, including Botox® anti-wrinkle injections on the forehead and on crow’s feet (around the eyes). As well as treating wrinkles, you can also use Botox® for an eyebrow lift for a more wide-awake look. I also undertake advanced lower face Botox® eg. jawline slimming.

Tear trough rejuvenation
This is the under-eye area which becomes dark and hollow with age, (usually from your late twenties onwards) making you appear tired - even if you’re not! Concealer is great, but there’s a limit to what makeup can do. Injections of hyaluronic acid filler can help improve the contour between the lower eyelid skin and the cheek.

Profile Balancing
Brides will be photographed from all angles and often are not happy with how their face appears in profile (to the side). I use hyaluronic-acid based dermal filler to treat and sculpt the face such as lip enhancement, non-surgical rhinoplasty, cheek bone definition and treatments to the chin and jawline.
