If we had a Bride Alert Alarm, we would be slamming our palms against it right now. Something major has just happened and you need to know about it. The one and only Sabyasachi has just released not one, but three, stunning new bridal collections and the pictures are seriously beautiful.

The three lines sit under The Heritage Collection umbrella, there's something for every type of Sabyasachi bride. Here’s a quick peek at the highlights of all three.

Named The Gulkand Collection, the couture bridal collection is heavily inspired by hedonism and decadence.

“Drying rose petals, gulkand, kishmish, cardamom, zarda and pomegranate set the mood and the colour palette.

Deep brooding burgundy and russet over layered with antiquated zardosi, semi-precious stones and Pearls form the basis of these baroque bridalwear lehengas.”

Shot in the sprawling Rambagh Palace, Jaipur, the collection is rich and opulent with heavy velvets in burgundy and oxblood.

Of this bridal collection, Sabyasachi said: “When it comes to dressing up brides I like to take a wholesome, purist, traditional route. Nothing is more potent than a red lehenga. Team it up with centre parted hair, kohl rimmed eyes, a dramatic mathapatti and pahadi nath. An intricate Polki choker and red sheesha bangles complete the picture. It is a very compelling look, a look that withstands and transcends.”

The couture legend said of this look (top left): "I like the juxtaposition of two opposites. Rustic organic India converging with classic Victorian. The laung silk matka sari worn with a heritage borla and a stack of Victorian diamond bracelets. Ethnic wear for the global nomad.”
