Bollywood beauties have been the inspiration for wedding makeup looks for generations - after all, who hasn't wanted to emulate the innocent glow of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Devdas or Priyanka Chopra's regal beauty in Bajirao Mastani? Now there's a new exhibition celebrating the art and aesthetic behind Indian cinema. BollyGoods Edition 2, London will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May, from 1.30pm – 8pm in the Ballroom Suite of The Dorchester hotel in Mayfair. Hosted by the extended Bollywood fraternity, BollyGoods is a unique presentation of celluloid inspired fashion, design, art and lifestyle, highlighting the rich creativity beyond the screen magic of the world’s biggest film industry.The show will be inaugurated by the First Lady of Bollywood and wife of screen legend Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan. Meanwhile one of India’s most celebrated creatives, Rohit Bal, will be presenting his latest prêt collections, while further exhibitors include design duo Rohit + Rahul, whose outfits are red carpet favourites, beloved by Bollywood’s glitterati, including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Freida Pinto, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and many more. Among the jewellers exhibiting is Shri Hari Diagems by Vinay Gupta, who created the exquisite jewellery worn by Deepika Padukone in biopic blockbuster, Bajirao Mastani, while also designing wedding jewellery for Mira Rajput and commissioned pieces for actresses such as Kriti Sanon and Nimrat Kaur.
