Radhika Nathwani, one half of the dynamic duo that heads up Radhika & You explains: “With guaranteed good weather, gorgeous views and the idea of having an open-air ceremony, Santorini is a highly in-demand wedding destination, which made it so perfect for this shoot. Our setting was La Maltese, a hotel in the village of Imerovigli, known as the ‘balcony to the Aegean’. 
The venue commands incredible views over the sea and can accommodate larger wedding parties, which is perfect for Asian weddings. Those who want a contemporary setting for their religious ceremony can have the best of both worlds here too. The vibrant pink bougainvillaea flowers on this island are as much a part of Santorini’s charm as the whitewashed buildings. With this in mind, we included the bright pink as a key hue in the shoot – you’ll see pops of it everywhere, from the outfit and flowers through to the cake and stationery. Our palette also included ivory, gold and softer shades of pink and peach. Couples love the idea of tying the knot overseas, but may not know where to start and this is where we come in! It’s All In The Details
Radhika decodes the little touches that brought the concept to life: “Gold detailing ran through all elements of the styling, from the furniture, tableware and props through to the bridal outfits, jewellery and stationery. Gold has always been perceived as opulent and royal in Asian weddings. By pairing it with vibrant ‘Santorini pink’, it captures the tastes of a bride who wants to marry traditions with a contemporary edge."
There are two key trends we’re noticing more of in Asian wedding receptions: place name cards and menus for each guest, and mixed table shapes. We incorporated these trends into our table setting for the shoot. Our stationery created a beautiful range using a pretty tiled Greco-Indian pattern. They incorporated pinks and peaches as well as a touch of ‘Santorini blue’ to tie into the concept.”
