Hold court for a Royal Indian feast

In times past, dubar was the name for an Indian Royal Court. Kings, queens and aristocrats gathered for meetings and to feast on sumptuous dishes carefully crafted by their master chefs.
It’s this vision of time-honoured opulence that Darbaar by Abdul in the City of London aims to emulate; delicious, posh Indian food served in an atmosphere of pure decadence.
Say goodbye to been-there, eaten-that curries and the BYOB joints of Brick Lane. Darbaar takes traditional dishes and upgrades them with unexpected ingredients such as rabbit, quail and Tilapia to take you on a gastronomic journey through the ages.
Set over an impressive 5,500 feet, the restaurant and bar includes an interactive grill seating area, 20-cover private dining room and a bespoke chef’s table for up to 12 - all perfect hen party hang outs.

Thanks to its proximity to the City, Darbaar hosts plenty of business types for lunch and dinner but if you’re in the main dining area, heavy velvet drapes can be pulled out to envelope you and your party in your own world.
But to up the style stakes, book the elegant private dining room (pictured left). Decked in a muted palette of grey and blush pink, the centrepiece is the gleaming dark wood table that’ll leave you feeling like the Rani of the room.

The À La Carte choice is so full of treats, the restaurant has a series of set menus to help create your perfect feast. Tandoori Salmon Tikka and Kasturi Butter Chicken are the highlights of the Daawat Menu, while the Quick & Share selections are perfect for sharing between smaller groups. Want theatre with your mains? Sit by the interactive grill for freshly chargrilled bites.
