You could be forgiven for thinking that this stunning 17th century mansion was twinned with ITV’s Downton Abbey thanks to its grand Victorian exteriors and well-kept gardens. Carlton Towers, perched on a secluded 1500-acre estate, sits in the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside just a few hours from Leeds and York.

Exclusively yours
Picture yourselves making a grandest of entrances through Carlton Towers’ entrance hall and into the intricately decorated Venetian Drawing Room, a space traditionally used for weddings. The room is one of three fabulously appointed grand staterooms, which can be hired for exclusive use on the Big Day, allowing your guests to move and mingle freely within the beautiful estate throughout the day. Brides and grooms-to-be also have use of sixteen bedrooms, Minstrels’ Gallery, Bow Drawing room, bar and expansive lawns, ideal for welcome drinks or to watch fireworks during the evening reception.
Carlton Towers prides itself on taking care of all aspects of the wedding, even including a silver cake stand and knife in the hire costs.
The venue is licenced to perform civil ceremonies for up to 200 guests. Packages are available to suit all budgets and tastes, although a dedicated Wedding Planner and Events team can create a bespoke package to meet all your requirements and ensure that every last detail is in place.

Winter Wedding
Couples planning their wedding over the winter months can take advantage of Carlton Towers’ specially created seasonal Winter Wedding package, which includes exclusive use of the house and the grounds for up to 80 loved ones for a daytime ceremony and 100 guests for an evening reception.
Also included in the hire is the exquisite Bridal Suite, tucked away in the beautiful Baroness Tower and breakfast the following morning. The Winter Wedding package at Carlton Towers even includes a master of ceremonies, a sumptuous three course wedding breakfast and half a bottle of wine for each of your friends and family, an evening finger buffet for 100 loved ones  and even candelabras to give your day that final grand touch.
