It is no news that wedding wardrobes are truly a complicated affair. In the midst of preparing for the ‘Big Fat Indian Wedding’, perfecting not one but many head-to-toe glamourous, coordinated and gorgeous looks is a master’s play. And who knows it better than Khush Wedding’s own senior stylist Tanishq Malhotra!
Kirtan
In the month of April 2022, Tanishq tied the knot with her long-time beau. She made a dazzling bride in custom designer ensembles embracing every moment of her wedding festivities. Starting with a kirtan event, she wore an elevated traditional suit set by designer Heena Kochhar.
Mehndi
For the mehndi, the bubbly bride shared, “Mishru gave me that option of fun colours keeping the feminine touch intact. For accessories, my inspiration was modern Cleopatra vibe. Amama did a fabulous job by picking colourful elements of my outfits for the headgear.”
Engagement
The bride arrived at the engagement ceremony in a divine, neutral-coloured ensemble by designer Gaurav Gupta contrasting colours with her beloved. “When I saw the ecru shade, I loved the minimalist yet grand vibe to it. The skirt had the grandeur without too many embellishments and the blouse was a perfect modern cut for the vibe of my decor which was inspired by cards.”
Haldi
For the haldi ceremony, Tanishq wanted to keep it light and breezy. And designer Bhumika Sharma gave her just that with a finishing touch of custom real and artificial flower jewellery. "I was thrilled to customise this mustard lehenga for Tanishq’s haldi function. The lehenga features classic tilla embroidery in our signature circular pattern on the sleeves along with our statement hand embroidered cutwork belt,” shared the designer. The grand hair accessory added a floral glory to the bride’s look.
Wedding
The most awaited reveal of the line of festivities was Tanishq’s wedding ceremony look. The dreamy portrait of the bride is no less than that of a regal queen. About this heartfelt look, she said “I fell in love with what they call ‘the Sabyasachi red’ when I was shooting with actress Aditi Rao Hydari. It was in that moment when I knew I wanted to be a Sabyasachi red bride.” Set with gorgeous emeralds and rubies, the old-charm inspired, polki jewellery added to make the most picture-perfect bride.
Reception
‘An outfit with a tale’, the reception look was created by JADE by Monica and Karishma keeping in mind the Greek theme of the event. The stunning silver to rose gold ombre lehenga skirt paired with a unique turtle neck blouse was a sight for sore eyes. The detachable, custom trail featured text that symbolised the couple’s long-distance relationship. It said, “distance means nothing, when someone means everything.”
The designer duo shared that the bride approached them “with the vision of a bridal ensemble that was glamorous yet incredibly personal. We created this exquisite gold gown with a tulle trail carrying personal quotes close to Tanishq’s heart. As someone with whom we share a long-standing relationship, it felt especially incredible to create this beautiful ensemble for her special day.”
