The spring summer fashion week season in India has officially come to a close in New Delhi. After waiting two long years for a physical fashion week, all we can say is that Lakmé Fashion Week’s 5-day extravaganza surely lived up to our expectations. Glamour, drama, a high celebrity quotient and oodles of fun are just a few words we can use to describe the energy and the aura present at the venue.

After experiencing the show and the outfits first-hand off the runways, we have set our gaze on the best bridal ensembles spotted at Lakmé Fashion Week. From contemporary sari drapes and OTT lehengas, to off-beat blouse designs and intricate embroidery, it was full of fun for a bride to be excited about this season. Think vibrant colours or pastel hues, no matter what your taste, there’s something for every bride and ample options even for the bridesmaids. Scroll on!

Draped Perfection

While everyone focuses a lot on the wedding day outfits, sometimes it's also fun to splurge on pre-wedding choices to set the tone. This gorgeous beige belted sari by couturier JJ Valaya is an appropriate option for a pre-wedding party or engagement ceremony. The best part about JJ’s latest collection is the versatility in the pieces that will let you reuse the outfits for years to come.

Set On Pastels

If you're going for a modern bridal look, then we suggest bookmarking this Varun Chakkilam lilac lehenga. Embellished with intricate embroidery, it's the perfect choice for a cocktail or reception ceremony. Team it with diamond jewels to get heads turning.

Floral Paradise

Pastel tones are the colour of the season, and this Keerthi Kadhire floral lehenga on actor Pooja Hegde is just what you need for a summer wedding. Vibrant and fresh, it's the perfect pick for a mehndi function when styled with floral jewellery.

Subtle Tones

No wedding is complete without a pastel pink lehenga. ROMAA shows us true elegance and sophistication with this creation, an ideal choice for an Anand Karaj or daytime pheras.

An Off-Beat Turn

Do away with the basics as you opt for a graphic and bold design just like this one on Divya Khosla Kumar by designer Sejal Kamdar. Be it a welcome lunch or pre-dinner party, you can style it up or down for a day or night ceremony.

Ravishing In Red

Don't wish to keep it OTT for your wedding day? Punit Balana has the perfect fuss-free option for all brides who want to keep it lightweight and comfortable. Embellished with sequins and a strappy blouse, Janhvi Kapoor dazzles in the red-hot ensemble.

Black Beauty

Bored of lehengas for your cocktail ceremony? Then why not dial up the sexy quotient as you pick a contemporary draped sari from none other than Tarun Tahiliani. Kriti Sanon is a true vision in this black mesh sari that will surely leave all your cocktail attendees in awe of your style.

Print Mania

Printed lehengas are anyday lighter than those heavily embellished ones. And,  if you want to make a powerful impact with a comfortable option, this lehenga from Manish Malhotra’s new line Diffuse will be a definitive winner. The quirky blouse adds a modern edge to the otherwise simple outfit.

Quirk It Up

Beach wedding or not, this Aisha Rao number in Pantone Colour of the Year Very Peri is just what every quirky bride needs in her wardrobe. It is apt for a day wedding by the sea or even for a mehndi function if you're having the festivities in the city.

Elegance Personified

Break away from the notion of wearing red lehngas for your D-day as you pick an elegant and feminine option from Varun Bahl's collection Quintessential. A subtle colour patel with accents of red, this creation is just what every contemporary bride will love.
