The Kanchipuram Saris Subee Sudharsan from Casipillai Designer Collection explains: “Kanchipuram, a temple town in southern India, is known as the home of saris, going back some 5000 years. It’s mentioned in the Vedas; a silk sari of beauty, grace, dignity and poise fit for any Queen on her Big Day. Our saris are hand-woven by master weavers hailing from that town. Every bride is unique and has her own ideas on the perfect sari. Casipillai Designer Collection personally design each one to her character, to wear as an extension of her personality on this momentous occasion.”"Kanchipuram is mentioned in the Vedas; a silk sari of beauty, grace, dignity and poise fit for any Queen on her Big Day" - Subee Sudharsan, Casipillai Designer CollectionHandwoven plain Kanchipuram silk sari in coral pink. teamed with a high-necked blouse: Casipillai Designer Collection
The Beauty LookMakeup Artist Vithya Visvendra explains the makeup for the shoot: “Each beauty look had to resonate with the sari and the jewellery, but since each piece was different, my looks needed to vary from one another, yet retain impact. Inspiration arrived from the immensely beautiful warrior princess of south Indian fokelore, Devasena, with the core themes royalty, power, strength and confidence. I also tapped into new trends, with bold lips, strong brows, and super sleek hair, in an effort to introduce new looks to future brides as well as Kanchipuram lovers.”

The JewelsShalini Gupta from Red Dot Jewels says:“We chose pieces from our collection that held a deeply traditional resonance, but also offered a contemporary aesthetic. You could think of them as a bridge between the new world, and the old because while the modern bride wants to pay homage to her heritage, her style sensibilities and tastes remain very much in the 21st Century. Here we’ve multi-layered pieces for maximum impact, but they translate well for every day wear. Use style in a minimalist way; earrings with a cocktail dress, a cuff at the weekend.”"The modern bride pays homage to her heritage, yet her style sensibilities and tastes remain very much in the 21st Century" - Shalini Gupta, Red Dot JewelsRose Kanchipuram silk sari with intricate zari motifs, finished with a boat neckline blouse: Casipillai Designer Collection
