Every aspect of your wedding decorations is as important as the other: the mandap, the entrance, table-setting and other elements. But when planning wedding design and décor on a larger scheme of things, couples tend to focus most on the main ceremony. But the wedding reception is where your guests are likely to take most pictures with you as Mr & Mrs. Along with the food, part of making this event extra special is zeroing down unique ways to decorate the venue.
Timmy Kader, the co-founder of 1SW Events, feels you should start with finalizing a theme. “Choose a stylist who will help create your theme. Deciding your décor theme is not something you choose out of a catalogue, it’s personal to the couple and a reflection of what you are as a couple. I suggest you show your stylist your Pinterest board and see what they can create based upon the images you like. You use those images as a source of inspiration as your theme will be designed to work in your venue,” she suggests.
Here, we shortlist some of the best wedding reception setups by 1SW Events for inspiration that will ensure the space looks stunning while everybody has a memorable time.
Say It With Flowers
Gold tables paired with white chairs make this a glitzy setup. Flowers in shades of pink are used generously on the tables and suspended on the ceiling. “I think when you want to add colour to your wedding, flowers are the best way to do that, either by choosing contrasting colours to change the overall tone of the room or having bursts of colour. Flowers also help soften the edges,” says Timmy.
All Glam
For couple Shezad and Nimra’s wedding, Timmy went with the timeless black and white palette with table linens and chairs. Fairy lights with gold accents as the large centrepieces and cutlery added glamorous touches to the setup.
Lavender Love
Drowning in wisteria, lavender and roses, this soothing reception décor looks straight out of a storybook. If pastel is the way you want to go, we suggest ditching pinks and peaches in favour of lilacs and purples.
White Magic
Your stage will be the main attraction at the wedding reception. Choosing white florals arrangements and white linens will top it with a layer of luxury while casually giving a polished look to the space. White florals can comfortably work for table, entrances arches and installations too.
Party Ready
If you want to do away with traditional theatre style reception settings, you should definitely consider replicating this one by 1SW Events. A large dance floor takes centre stage. We especially love what Timmy and her team did with the round seating arrangements elevated with large pastel floral centrepieces and lots of pop LED lighting.
