With vibrant flowers and intricate details, the celebrations curated by 1SW Events feel one-of-a-kind in the best way. One of the UK’s most premier wedding planning and décor companies, 1SW Events is known for their terrific work with fresh and artificial flowers along with foliage. Timmy Kader, the co-founder of 1SW Events, feels you'd be remiss not to spend extra attention to the little details. Regardless of the time or season, for your wedding, you definitely need to choose a prime time for florals.
From daffodils and cherry blossoms, to hyacinth and hydrangeas, romantic arrangements to fun centrepieces, if you're tying the knot in spring / summer, your floral choices will be out of this world. Use this guide to help you achieve floral- and foliage-filled festivities.
In Full Bloom
“The biggest trend for 2024 is using more flowers, as we did last year. But this year, we are looking at more varieties of flowers, not limited to roses and hydrangeas. There’ll also be more detailing with floral work.”
Classic Choices
“Of course, when it comes to floral decorations, the classic colours like pastels and ivories will never go out of style. As cliché as you may think, red roses work absolutely well for a classic wedding. Go for English flowers for a spring / summer wedding. I am a big supporter of English produce. I am also seeing the blend of fresh and artificial flowers.”
Modern Mania
“In 2024, apart from traditional picks, you’ll also see a lot of solid, more modern shades taking centre stage. Think colours such as a plum, green and more edgy palettes as well as colour combinations.”
Colour Of The Year
“I am also seeing a big gravitation towards the Pantone Colour Of The Year, Peach Fuzz. It is such a versatile shade in my opinion. You can easily pair it with a summer or winter palette. Peach also falls into the category of corals or orange, so you can team it with pink.”
Foliage Fantasy
“I have noticed two camps of brides—one who love foliage and the other who doesn’t. There’s no middle ground for greens. But they make great colour contrasts with florals. When designing the look, if you focus on fewer shades and elements, it means you will have a better-looking wedding.”
