The imposing entrance with its huge courtyards is instantly eye-catching upon arrival, as is the tiled-water feature in the marble lobby. Throughout the 20 acres of olive groves and gardens, it’s hard to escape the beautiful aroma of the thousands of fragrant roses of 30 different varieties. The hotel marks the debut of the Mandarin Oriental Group in Africa and the hotel celebrates Morocco’s rich heritage.  You’ll notice the Berber, Andalusian and Arabic influences both in the exterior and interior, with particular influence on light entering the vast spaces.  Dining wise, the food is modern and inventive yet draws on Moroccan tradition. At night, the hotel is illuminated by candles and lanterns scattered across the property, creating a beautiful, romantic atmosphere. The villas have a feel of intimate riads, whereas the suites immerse guests in the heart of the landscapes. Each, promises a luxury experience combining comfort, space and total privacy – perfect for intimacy and romance.
