Like every love story, no two weddings should be the same. It’s why personalisation is key. The best part is you can literally customise every detail of your wedding, from your bridal lehenga to the menu. The sky is really the limit. The first step to set the tone for the celebrations is your wedding invitation. Long gone are the days when couples settled for done and dusted invites with florals and traditional motifs. Now, they want the invitation to reflect their preferences and style as a couple.
Leading the way for personalised wedding invitations and stationery is the UK-based A & K, Art and Kraft. “We see personalisation as a key trend. Everyone wants something unique to them. There is an increasing demand for personalised wedding cards, commissioned illustrations, or graphics,” Amandeep & Kalveer behind the brand reveal.
“We work with our clients, listening and understanding their needs and get to know their story. We arrange a design consultation to help brainstorm and prepare mood boards to bring their ideas to life. We then produce concept development work for review and we iterate our designs given our clients feedback to produce the best piece,” they add about their personalisation process.
Ahead, the duo share ideas on how you can personalise your invites to the T.
The Ceremony
“Our first ever creation was the gatefold door style opening cards. These included the Gurdwara on the front opening up to the Anand Karaj ceremony inside the card. These have been popular for their design and colour. We have seen our design become a trend in the market.”
Fabulous Florals
“Florals are forever inspiring wedding stationery. But the themes incorporated in our wedding stationery are personalised—think illustrations, unique florals and paisley patterns. Our style is modern and minimalistic.”
The Details
“We tell a story of the bride and groom through illustrations detailing their outfits, venue, décor and accessories to capture those special moments. We design bespoke stationery to suit their needs. Colours range from traditional reds and golds to pastels…to anything that coordinates with the couple’s wedding attire.”
Go Paperless
“We see paperless as another trend in demand where cards are becoming animated, environmentally friendly and easy to share. This is across web invitations and Ecards.”
Ethnic Touch
“It’s very easy to find different ways to design our stationery as our clients know what they want and when they don’t we offer ideas and solutions that are unique to what is out there. Our design work is versatile our range of diverse products show this. Currently, we have done designs as our clients have requested. If a client wants something bespoke to their ethnicity we are more than happy to provide.”
