For All Day Makeup Perfection
Bridal beauty is different to every day beauty in that not only is the makeup amplified, but it need to last ALL DAY – you can’t nip off for a quick retouch! To keep my brides’ makeup looking fresh and in place throughout the Big Day, you can’t beat NYX Professional Makeup Matte Setting Spray. It’s as light as a veil and comfortable over makeup, all while ensuring your look doesn’t budge. What more could you want?
The Enduring Fragrance
I mist myself in this floral citrusy scent before I leave the house, and it lasts until I get home. I get so many compliments on it; someone even stopped me on the street to ask what perfume I was wearing, so it’s definitely a head turner.
Get Your Beauty Sleep
The secret to gorgeous skin? A good night’s sleep! Months of planning + excitement/ jitters = no sleep, bad skin. If you’re finding it difficult to doze off, try winding down with a pre-bed soak drizzled with Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Bath Oil, £44. It’ll leave your skin feeling silky soft and smelling phenomenal. For good measure, spray L’Occitane’s Relaxing Pillow Mist, £18, over your bed linen too.
Best Long-Lasting Lipstick
I’ve been a bridal MUA for 5 years, so I’ve gone through a fair amount of lippy in that time, and Illamasqua’s Resist goes the distance. I love the intense pigment and matte effect, which is somewhere between rose and plum. It’s part of the limited edition Vanitas collection - so get it before it sells out.
Amrita’s real brides
My Signature Makeup Style
I’m all about the eyes. I highlight them with perfectly blended shadow. A bride just isn’t
complete without… A tika that suits her face shape – it really pulls a look together. Oh, and statement earrings and a necklace. Basically all the jewels!
My Favourite Cities
I love Istanbul, there’s so much culture. It’s also great for jewellery shopping! And I love London. I spend a lot of time waiting for bridal changeovers, so I’m always finding new places in the capital.
My Career Highlights
Working with Khush to create magical looks in the magazine. Also working on a conceptual shoot called ‘The British Raj’ working alongside Content Photography and some of the best mentors in the industry. The shoot was very close to my heart as my great-grandfather fought in WW1.
My Fave wedding Moment
Spending those last few hours with the bride while listening to a brilliant Spotify playlist!
