Junaid Akram tied the knot with Misbha Ahmed at The Langham London on 1st May 2016.
She says: “Junaid and I met through friends and after six years, he popped the question in Dubai, at the top of Burj Khalifa.
Planning the wedding was easy, since we had a theme in mind – modern and simple. I found my suppliers online, though friends and family also chimed in with recommendations which was really helpful.
We chose The Langham in central London for our venue as it’s grand with a lot of character. Since it’s a hotel, we could also stay the night before the Big Day, which cut out a lot of stress.”

The Photographer
“Farah Mirza was suggested by a family member. When we met, we found her friendly, knowledgable and professional. We wanted natural images and she did an amazing job, delivering exceptional shots.”

The Look
“My bridal outfit made by Gul’s Style and my jewellery came from Kyle’s. I wanted a very traditional bridal look, which Gul and Kyle’s helped me achieve.
My makeup look – strong eyes and bold lips – was by Samira while Nishal Creations decorated my hands with henna a few days before the wedding to ensure I had a deep rich stain on the Big Day.”

Decor
“The venue was covered with fresh white flowers around the bannisters, the seating plan board and all the tables. We filled the foyer with tea lights and a photo booth and a sweets table for our friends and family.”
