Enchanted Evening

Mid- November seems an unlikely time for high fashion, but that’s when the online retailer Strand of Silk chose to present a collection of exclusive Indian designer pieces and accessories at Asia House, London. Escaping the grey skies and blustery winds of the capital, guests at the show were treated to an array of handpicked collections from India’s leading fashion, accessory and jewellery designers. Titled ‘Enchanted by Details’, the evening began with a drinks reception before the guests took their seats for the catwalk event, which spanned across two beautiful rooms on the first floor. Collections showcased exquisite craftsmanship on contemporary silhouettes from Myoho, Siddartha Tytler, Sougat Paul and VJ Balhara. Accessories from Ambar Paridi Sahai, Meera Mahadevia and Sannam Chopra were used to finish the looks. Opulent jewellery from Varda Goenka featuring diamonds, rubies and emeralds shone under the spotlights; the stunning pieces beautifully partnering the exquisite Strand of Silk clothing collection. During the day, guests were treated to an exclusive Diagold jewellery exhibition.
