Frontier Raas was founded with a vision to create Indian ethnic garments with top quality, sustainability, and a premium customer experience. The journey started back in 1954 with a view of Mr Bansilal Batra bringing Indian art and culture to the Western world. A new generation team believes in amalgamating these beautiful traditions with a contemporary and inclusive approach for the beautiful bride-to-be.

We believe in communicating and propagating the craftsmanship and heritage of India. In general, the fast-fashion pendulum is swinging too far and is too trend-driven! As a brand, we yearn for products that are designed to last, inspired by cultural designs and materials. Our designs exude Indian culture and speak to the generation of today. They also reflect Indian history and are global in their appeal.

What’s your brand’s ethos?
During these difficult times, we believe in supporting and promoting weavers and embroiderers. We’re creating many job opportunities within India and the U.K. and hope our clients support us, in return. The focal point of our vision is creating the best customer service at all our outlets, and to reinvent this experience for the better.

Describe the most popular designs for brides.
We design outfits in such a way that brides can re-wear them time and time again. However, we are designing outfits with traditional work but a contemporary look. Blouses and colours are currently the focal point because we believe they are what makes an outfit stand out. New colors for our bridal collection for Autumn/Winter 20/21 are: ivory, dusty pink, lilac, sage green and powder blue.

Talk us through the design process and your collections
In our collections, we experiment with embroidery, zardozi and fabrics. We shine light on the very canvas of our creation – which is a work of art in itself. Collections draw from the colours, philosophies and cultures of India to create unique styles that eventually become your memories. From inception to delivery, this will take around 4 months and will depend upon the level of customisation..

With new clients, we like to understand their colour preferences, and vision.
