Fusion began it's journey nearly a decade ago, selling fabric from a market stall. But in the same way that Marks & Spencer (who also began life on a market stall) turned into one of the biggest British retailers in the country today, so too has Fusion in the world of Asian bridalwear.
The fashion house is now a market leader in delivering a range of fabrics, made-to-measure services, ready-made collection and a bespoke bridal service.

Tell me about Fusion’s stores
The brand has two stores in London's east end, positioned in Green Street and Ilford Lane. The Ilford Lane emporium is a cavern of loose fabrics that can be turned into tailor-made saris, bespoke evening dresses and shalwar kameez.

Which is the best store for bridal clients?
Brides-to-be should make a beeline for Fusion’s Green Street bridal boutique, where you’ll find a dedicated and highly experiencd team to guide you through the task of creating the ultimate wedding outfit. Both stores are also positively brimming with a number of traditional and contemporary options for your Big Day look.

What happens at the Bridal consultation?
The store offers a dedicated bridal service, starting with initial one-to-one consultations to get an understanding of your personal style and taste. Co-owner Shabana says: “The aim of the consultation on my part is to extract the client's vision of their ultimate outfit, and then to produce a polished and professional product.” Following the first consultation to discuss your desired theme, cut and style, a bespoke piece can take anywhere between three to four months to create, and further adjustments can be made closer to the Big Day. Each piece is finessed by Fusion’s in-house tailors so you’ll end up with a perfect fit.
