Our hearts are filled with pride as Indian influencers took the prestigious Cannes Film Festival by storm this year. While the usual A-list Bollywood celebrities including Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others weren't present this season due to the pandemic, Indian influencers didn't fail to slay the red carpet.

With over 1 million followers on Instagram, global influencer Masoom Minawala made a power packed appearance this year. Being her second year at the event after 2019, she stood out in several statement outfits, from a Manish Malhotra sequins sari to living her dream of twirling in a hot pink Valentino gown. Taking to social media, she shared, "For me walking the red carpet has little to do with the fame and glamour quotient of it. I know it might be hard to believe but it’s painstakingly true. For me it’s a celebration of my work… of the strength, persistence… and to some level knowing that I’m one step closer to my mission of taking Indian fashion to the world… for me to have the honour to be at the world’s largest cinematic event, wearing India, being India, celebrating India. So this one’s to MY dream of representing India on a global scale… & walking this very glamorous red carpet is the most incredible journey towards it. But it’s the journey… it’s not the destination."

Here's looking at her jaw-dropping moments on the red carpet.

On the opening night, Minawala kept it simple yet stylish in an orange off-shoulder Lia Stublla gown featuring a thigh high slit. She opted for a sleek pony, and minimal makeup to complete her look.

For her first look, she chose an ivory sequined Manish Malhotra sari from his Taban collection that was all things glamorous. With statement sleeves and oodles of shimmer, she added a touch of colour with emerald earrings. We are still in awe of her princess moment.

Looking fresh and youthful, Minawala was spotted out and about for a meeting in an uber-cute La Metamorphose pastel ruffle dress. The light weight organza fabric made her look elegant and poised as she styled the look with tea shade sunnies and a semi-circle black clutch bag featuring a pearl string.

Oozing happiness and grace was the time when the influencer got to live her dream of creating content for luxury brand Maison Valentino. She was spotted flaunting a hot pink one-shoulder Valentino gown. Sticking to her minimal style, Minawala let the vibrant colour shine through, while keeping the accessories minimal.

The Cannes Film Festival was truly special for Minawala, as it marked her first work trip with her husband. And if you thought you can't wear white at night, think again cause she proves otherwise in this stellar Issa Hesso number. Featuring delicate pleats and a belt that accentuates the waistline, she turned up the heat. The sleek updo and white bag worked as the perfect finishing touches.

Her last look was a monotone ensemble by designer Antonio Grimaldi. Featuring hints of feathers, the simple silhouette was impactful and stylish. Further glamming up the look was the ivory colour sphere shaped bag, matching oversized studs and a sleek bun.

We're looking forward to being served some more serious fashion inspiration by these rising stars who are full of talent.
