 GREEN 
Bring the wonderfully refreshing tones of green to your wedding tables. We love how fresh and, well, spring-like, this colour scheme looks, making it work perfectly for the season. Keep things feeling natural and rustic with a Hessian table runner and an abundant display of fresh flowers with a few cream peonies thrown in for contrast. Wooden elephants make the sweetest little wedding momentos for guests, as do the tiny mosaic clay pots filled with sugared almonds or other sweet treats of your choice. Lay strands of baby’s breath flowers amongst the setting, or choose table pearl decorations to infuse the space a gentle glow. False butterflies positioned around the centrepiece or attached to your table number stand give the impression of bringing the outside in.

 BLUE 
It’s an unusual colour choice, but many wedding planners are reporting an uptick in the number of blue-themed weddings taking place over the last couple of years. If you decide to opt for this shade, choose a delicate pastel shade or duck egg for a more upmarket feel. Again, you can combine this shade with neutrals or hints of metallic (silver works particularly well) to come up with your perfect palette. It’s a great idea to have matching menu cards made up for each guest, or each table, if you have a lot of people attending your Big Day. This will help to pull the whole look together seamlessly. Create height for your centrepieces by using decorative boxes (TK Maxx does a great selection) or some of your favourite books. But be careful not to go overboard, as you don’t want to crowd your guests with props. Crystal glassware, tea light candles and polished cutlery finishes off the elegant look.

And with good reason – the colour is the embodiment of romance. Bring the glow of the rosy hue to your tables with delicate petals, soft lighting with church candles with a lace table runner underneath. Ultra-feminine pink will give your reception a dream-like feel, softening edges and adding flattering accents to wedding pictures. Team with gold and cream for a wedding-ready palette, or try pairing it with black and white for a look that’s more bold and beautiful.  PLUM 
Decorate your reception tables with highlights of plum and purple to take your venue to new stylish heights. Silk faux petals will look just as impressive as fresh, and the advantage is that they won’t bruise or start to decay, looking fresh for the duration of the celebration – and beyond.
