Weddings give Gagan Sharma the opportunity to capture minute details and major moments during a memorable day in a couple’s life . The UK-based artist who is behind Photography By Gagan feels, “Whether there are tears of joy or playful moments, weddings are full of authentic emotions. The idea is to blend in with the guests.” He takes a detail oriented and documentary approach to shooting special occasions. Using a combination of high-tech camera and artistic flair, he describes his style as timeless, natural, and with an understated elegance.
His starting point is a video call with the couple. “It’s of utmost importance to me to understand the couple, their story and their aspirations for their wedding day. The more they allow me into their world, and as early as possible into their planning process, the better their images will be,” Gagan explains.

Road Ahead
While the past two years have been anything but easy, Gagan shares, “it is great to see so many couples tying the knot, after the pandemic. The remaining part of 2022 is very busy for me with some spectacular weddings lined-up.”

The New Normal
Where the pandemic brought about an upheaval in the world of weddings, Gagan’s end-to-end process with couples haven’t changed. From pre-wedding guidance and styling on the day to thorough post-production, he covers it all. “I thought things would have changed, but I’m glad to see we are where we picked up from. Amazing weddings, amazing vibes,” the expert cites.

Gagan’s advice for camera-conscious brides is to “relax, have fun and connect with people around you.” To ensure perfection, he edits every picture himself. “I don’t place any restrictions. It’s your wedding, your images.”?
