Nestled into picturesque British greenery is Poundon House, a privately owned wedding venue within easy reach of London and Birmingham. Renowned for its welcoming, homely atmosphere, the family-run Poundon House has years of experience in hosting weddings, receptions and Asian ceremonies.

Where should we marry?
The Civil Ceremony can be held either under the Terrace Marquee which boasts far reaching views over the manicured grounds, or in one of the licensed Reception Rooms. Blessings can also be held under the Terrace Marquee, the Reception Marquee or on the lower lawns. Tucked beneath mature beech trees sits the elegant Reception Marquee. The marquee’s beautiful hand printed lining means you can dress it as much or as little as you like and it’ll still look 100% wedding ready!

What if it rains?
No fear, the marquee is fully fitted with a drainage system, keeping your friends and family dry throughout the celebrations. On the flipside, there are plenty of French doors that open out into the grounds if the weather gets too hot. No matter what the weather brings, Poundon House won’t let it rain on your wedding parade.

Can we bring in catering?
You are more than welcome to, but there is a kitchen facility fee of £800 inc. VAT. However, Poundon House works with an extensive list of trusted external suppliers and will reduce the charge for using their kitchens if you book one of its approved suppliers.

Can we stay overnight?
Poundon House offers nine lovely bedrooms, allowing you and your wedding party to settle in and make yourselves at home for the weekend. Spacious, light and full of home comforts, they make a tranquil space to get ready before tying the knot.

Exclusive
The inside of the House is just as impressive as its stately exterior with large, framed paintings on the walls, ornate fireplaces warming flagstone floors and plenty of space for you and your guests to relax over the day. You’ll have exclusive use of three reception rooms, each one with its own unique character. Poundon House reserves the entire house and grounds for the day of the ceremony to ensure complete privacy and no outside distractions. The venue is exclusively yours for the whole day.

Your day, your way
The marquee can be arranged in a variety of set-ups to accommodate your wedding party. And unlike many venues, Poundon House is happy for couples to use their own caterers and bring in their own drinks for the wedding, but have all the facilities and contacts on standby should you wish to lean upon their expertise. However, if you’re planning on having two ceremonies on the same day, you should always consult the local registrars about any details regarding the civil ceremony.
