Blade Hairclub, on Frith Street, is a unique hair salon that’s open until 9pm and a stone’s throw from the best nightlife London has to offer. Its late closing (9pm Mon- Froi) and extensive curated bar means you can do away with rushing home to get ready because everything you need to look your best lies inside.
The two-floor salon boasts a coffee bar with juice presser on the ground floor, while the basement is home to a bar stocked with unique spirits (the owners have sourced the finest bourbons and whiskeys from the USA and elsewhere), wines, champagne and the salon’s very own branded ales and beers. Throw in personal iPads on every seat (loaded with Netflix so you’ll have your fave shows at your fingertips) and a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, and Blade Hairclub is the perfect pre-event party spot.
We enjoyed a blow dry accompanied by the richest, winter-warming drink on offer: the OMG Hot Chocolate. Forget  milky or watered-down versions, Blades Hot Choc is like sipping liquid chocolate with a shot of bourbon for extra warmth. It’s just as lip-smacking without alcohol, so if you don’t drink, just ask for the bourbon-free version.
The space is cosy and ideal for a gathering of up to 6 friends (for those who want exclusivity). Enjoy a colour treatment or a professional wash and blow dry in a salon that has the air of a kitchen of a great house party.
