A bride-to-be recounts her pre-wedding shoot with Zohaib Ali

Kiran Dhaliwal and Guneet Luther had a pre-wedding shoot in Paris on 7th - 10th May 2018. She says: “We booked luxury Asian wedding photographer Zohaib Ali for our Big Day, but liked the idea of a pre-shoot.

Zohaib suggested a ‘Pastels in Paris’ theme, which we loved as our schedules were tight and Paris is so close. Zohaib and his assistant scouted several locations around the city and while I know they didn’t get much rest, the results absolutely do not disappoint! We stayed at the Drawing Hotel, a chic boutique hotel on the 1st arrondissement close to the Louvre and Jardin des Tuileries.

I did my hair and makeup myself and chose classic outfits for the photos, so that when I look back at them in ten years’ time I’ll still be happy with my choices! The C/MEO black dress had a bit of edge with puffy off-shoulder sleeves and the while Jarlo London dress has an elegant appeal that I just adored.

Because we were shooting at iconic Parisian landmarks, there were tourists all over the place. We had an audience everywhere we went, and some even took photos over Zohaib’s shoulder! Zohaib gave us a head’s up that we might turn some heads, and although it was surreal, we weren’t nervous.

Zohaib has such a calming presence and we felt completely comfortable; it felt as though a friend was behind the camera. I’m thrilled with the final images. I plan to use them at our wedding, displaying them on an easel during cocktail hour.”
