There can be a lot of unnecessary worry, panic and fear when it comes to planning your Special Day. Whether unforeseen circumstances cloud your judgment or unexpected scenarios become the forefront of Wedding talk, it’s important to take a step back, and find clarity before making any rash decisions. Award-winning and International Photographer, Sanjay Jogia from Eye Jogia, explains why you should keep cool, calm and collected when appointing your photographer in these hard times.FLEXIBILITY:A good photographer will honour the agreement in hand by listening to your concerns and worries. They’ll spend time with you re-assessing your priorities. If dire circumstances mean you have to post-pone your wedding date, they will work with you providing they too are available on your new requested date. QUALITY:Clients should value the job of an established photographer. Their tasks are to document the joy and emotions of your wedding, to create everlasting memories to reflect upon in the future. Whatever the size of your wedding, the same skills, energy levels, and rigour is used by the professional. Photographers capture the positivity and raw emotion on the day, and their involvement is sincere and long-running.VALUE:On your Big Day, treasured moments need to be captured, with vital family members who may not be around for a long time. There are many parts to a wedding that are rented – the venues, the outfits, the caterers. However, photos are yours to own for a lifetime, so value these precious services.BUDGET:Payment terms should be discussed openly, and agreements honoured. Have an open discussion with your photographer and be careful of opportunist photographers. For me, it doesn’t matter if you work on a Tuesday, or a Saturday, in July or in December. Rates shouldn’t be cut, because your service should not diminish, and a photographer should not drop standards during ‘quieter’ times.FUTURE:A young couple in love, should see their wedding day as the bright light at the end of a tunnel. It’s a happy occasion and an important milestone, and the good times come with the uneasy times. Keep working at your planning together, be mindful and considerate, and remember there are good professionals who will work with you calmly and professionally to get the best out of your Big Day.• Eye Jogiawww.EyeJogia.cominfo@eyejogia.comInstagram: @EyeJogia+44(0)7985 84 84 83As seen in Khush Wedding 25.
