Set in 2000 acres of landscaped parkland in rural Oxfordshire, Blenheim Palace is one of the finest wedding venues in the country. The 18th century Palace boasts meticulously restored period rooms and 90 acres of formal gardens presenting timeless glamour.
Ideal for the couple with an eye for history and design, the baroque venue provides a stunning backdrop for wedding photographs. The interior is as astoundingly beautiful as the façade. The choice of venue opens up considerably for the reception. Choose a combination of the Great Hall and the Saloon for up to 250 guests for drinks and 150 for dinner, or use of the rooms individually, as per your needs. The Long Library has space for 300 guests for a seated dinner or 500 for drinks and canapés, but if you need more room, the South Lawn Marquees can hold an incredible 2000 loved ones for dinner, drinks and dancing in the evening. Blenheim Palace has options for weddings large, small and everything in between. When it comes to your special event, there are two spaces to choose from. For an evening ceremony of up to 250 guests, there’s the exquisite Orangery, whose high ceilings, arched windows and glass-panelled roof allow light to flow in and illuminate the space. The Orangery overlooks the Italian Garden and is the perfect spot for the civil ceremony. Alternatively the Marlborough Room, which can welcome up to 120, boasts a beautiful double-vaulted ceiling, two chandeliers and a large fireplace to warm yourselves by if you’re having a winter wedding. Both the Orangery and Marlborough Room have wedding licenses.www.blenheimpalace.com
