Aneeka Aggarwal married Rajan Sudera in August last year. She says: “After Rajan proposed, we started planning our dream day for the following year, which gave us 10 months to plan. Thankfully my sister had kept her wedding planning notes, which proved to be a massive help. We booked the Titantic Hotel as our venue for its Liverpool centre location. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t love at first sight; it was incredibly industrial. But soon, its potential began to dawn on me; the blank canvas was perfect for the décor I had in mind. I wanted lots of florals so the entrance had trees, flowers, floating candles and lanterns. We dressed the mandap simply with flowers, a backdrop, petal walkway and Ganesh statues. But it was the bloom-filled reception that took my breath away.”
The big day
“I remember watching Raj make his entrance on horseback. We hadn’t seen each other all day, so when we had our ‘first look’, we couldn’t tear our eyes off each other. My wedding and reception outfits were from Maysa boutique. I was hyperaware of everything at the start of the ceremony, but when we were announced husband and wife, the world just melted away.”
The Reception
“I was inspired by the contrast of day and night so the reception décor had an enchanted midnight garden theme. Our first dance was to a mashup of Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, and Enna Sona from the film OK Jaanu.”

“I realised having a friendly photographer who I felt at ease with was essential. Bhavna was my sister’s wedding photographer, so I already knew how wonderful she was. I’m thrilled she captured our day.”
