Ravi Pattni and Deenal Patel tied the knot in September 2018. Ravi describes their history as truly something special:
“I met my wife at Brampton College in London, at a mutual friend’s birthday party. We had known each other for 10 years before we decided to marry. For us, we have joint interests in living a life less ordinary, and searching for spiritual meaning. When it was announced that we were husband and wife, I felt blessed and ready to partner with my best friend and to serve others with love and compassion.”
Wedding Setting
“The wedding and reception was set at the home of my in-laws. They own a beautiful home, set in acres of land in Potters Bar, in Hertfordshire. For us, it was a familiar and homely atmosphere, and therefore idyllic.
Driving up in an Austin Healey, my procession included a grand white horse, and a set of dhol players.
Luckily we had my in-laws help with all the planning and Exclusive Events took care of the entertainment for us. We had ballet, acrobatics, a DJ and fireworks throughout the evening.” The most significant moment was during the ceremony. “I felt blessed to marry my best friend and I really felt the presence of God and our Guru at the religious ceremony."
Getting Ready
Ravi describes his morning ritual before the wedding: “My technique involved a hot shower, beard shape-up and meditation to steady the mind. After that, I felt ready to receive the kind blessings from my dear friends and family, for a future with my partner.”
Reception
“We opted for live food stations with a variety of cuisines such as Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Indian. Sweet Hollywood designed our cake and the only specifications we had was that it should be tall, eggless and delicious! After the reception we headed to our honeymoon in Marrakech. We travel a lot as a couple and this was one place we hadn’t been before.”
