Sara Ali Khan’s luminesce extends far beyond the silver screen and our smartphone screens. Whether she’s photographed making heads turn at a red-carpet event with experimental makeup or sporting minimal makeup when on-the-go, you're likely to find several lit-from-within beauty looks you'll love to save, bookmark and try on yourself. Now, Sara is bringing her glow to the cover of Khush Wedding’s latest issue, flaunting a makeup look that's every bit as radiant as she is.

Gini Bhogal formed part of the dream team that readied Sara for her debut cover shoot with us. Glamour was central to the theme of this photo shoot, so the renowned UK-based makeup artist incorporated metallics and glossy finishes throughout her looks. For the cover where Sara can be seen in a gorgeous grey Shyamal & Bhumika lehenga, Gini brought a sophisticated soft glitzy style that brides will be attempting for their sangeet or cocktail party. We tapped Gini to walk us through how to recreate the style for ourselves at home using the same products and application tips.

Your Step-By-Step Guide On Getting Sara Ali Khan’s Makeup Look

A skin-focused approach was designed to do justice to Sara’s natural features and highlight her glowing complexion. Gini started with prepping her face with the right skincare. She used the celebrity and model-favourite prep product, Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream for a hydrated plumper looking canvas, followed by Magic Eye Rescue Cream to help brighten the undereye area and reduce puffy eyes. Gini topped it with Pat McGrath’s Divine Skin: Rose 001™ The Essence, a milky-oil hybrid with key rose botanic, to amplify the glow.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation
won Gini’s vote for a weightless, full-coverage finish. To set the antioxidant-rich formula in place, she used Pat McGrath’s Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Setting Powder in Light 1. While Sara’s well-chiseled face didn’t need much contour, Gini used Tom Ford cheek contour in 01 Moonlight for slight definition. Pretty pink tones, from Scott Barnes Chic Cheek No 1 Blush Palette, added a rosy glow.

For eyes, Gini reveals that Sara’s big, beautiful peepers didn’t need much enhancement, but she used the metallic shades from Dior Backstage Custom Eye Palette in 001 Universal Neutral to create a soft smoky look. This eye makeup, Gini shares, is a flattering choice for any soirée and will complement any kind of silhouette, be it a lehenga or a gown. Some more pigmented shades from Beautopsy Gradient Palette by Hindash Cosmetics rounded it off. On the lips, Gini used Pat McGrath lip pencil and lip gloss in Faux Real for its pearlescent sheen.
