But can you accomplish statement-making glitter without going OTT? The short answer is yes, according to renowned makeup artist Aarti P.
The easiest way, she suggests, is to play up one feature at a time. “Keep the rest of the makeup understated for a balanced, sophisticated look. Eye makeup is the best option to try it. Metallic lids combined with a red lip is a classic choice for the main ceremony. Or bring your A-game to the sangeet with glittery shadow and mascara,” Aarti says. Brides who’d prefer to keep it lowkey, highlighter, a glitter eyeliner or nail polish are ideal ways to introduce shimmer.
