Tia Gandhi married Anish Mistry in July 2017. She says: “Anish proposed in Santorini which was a surprise - but not as much as the photographer that was also there to capture the moment. It was the best day... until the wedding!
The Venue
"We chose Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens as our wedding venue. It’s an old, Grade I listed house near Kettering with the most beautiful gardens that look particularly stunning in the summer. We found it through our planners, Carriages Weddings.
The reception marquee was built two days before the wedding. Our theme was summer romance, and we had mood lighting to recreate a Santorini sunset. Our good friend Punit sang John Legend’s All Of Me for our first dance. It meant so much more to us.”
Outfit
“I was one of those brides who’d been planning her Big Day for years, so I knew exactly what I wanted. I had my lehenga made in India, while my mum designed my jewellery to match. I wore my late grandmother’s anklets (my ‘something old’) so she would be with me every step of the way.”

“I’ve been a long-time fan of Bhavna Barratt’s work. Early in the planning stages, my mum said she had a photographer in mind, and things nearly came to a head - until we realised we were both talking about Bhavna! She has an incredible talent for capturing those real, perfectly timeless moments. We adore our wedding album.”
The Reception
“We chose a seated dinner for the reception, to avoid long buffet-line queues and help guests relax. There was also a lounge area complete with a photo booth, chocolate fountain and candy cart.”
